The Rio Grande Water Rights Association is an advocacy group for all New Mexico water users in the Middle Rio Grande Valley: agricultural, municipal, industrial and individual.
What does the Rio Grande Water Rights Association offer its members?
Promotion of individual and entity water rights: The RGWRA will take steps to promote due process and procedure to changes in water rights ownership and use.
Representation in the media. The RGWRA will represent its members' views in the public debate and education concerning water and water rights.
Representation with the New Mexico State Engineer: The RGWRA is your collective voice with this powerful water agency, with the goal of administering the state's water to the maximum benefit of the citizens of the state.
Promotion of a comprehensive water plan. The RGWRA promotes a state-wide water plan that is fair and equitable for all its members, a plan that is based on common sense.
Representation with the State's Congressional Delegation. The RGWRA will carry your messages and concerns to the state's Congressional delegation and to federal agencies as appropriate.
Representation with State Government:The RGWRA will monitor and initiate legislation that affects the stakeholders in the ongoing water debate within state government.
